First, we invite you to our home showroom for an initial consultation. For those who aren't local, we can arrange another method that's convenient for you. We will discuss your needs and vision, and document all of the appropriate details for your project. Make sure to bring any existing branding pieces, color swatches, inspiration, or important pieces that you want incorporated into your project. The non-refundable fee for our consultation is $50.00. If you decide to work with us on your project, this fee will be applied to your order.
Based on the information from our consultation, we will email you at least two design concepts with quotes for each concept. Once you choose your favorite concept, or suggest one from a combination of the concepts, we will send you a contract detailing the project. You will send back the signed contract along with 50% of your total order. Design work will begin once we receive your signed contract and deposit. Payment is non-refundable once work begins.
After the chosen concept is designed, we will make sure that you approve the design and applicable details. We'll also have you proof everything for typos or errors in the information. This can be done in person or through email. Once the design is fully proofed and approved, a 25% payment of your total order is due. Development will begin to turn the design into a fully functioning website. Upon launch of your site, the remaining 25% payment is due.
We prefer that businesses prepare a RFQ (Request for Quote) detailing the project they are envisioning. This is in your best interest as you should be seeking quotes from more than one developer/designer. By creating a RFQ, you will be receiving quotes that originate from the same base concept, allowing you to better compare your quotes. If the RFQ method is not something you are interested in, or willing to do, then please see our process for personal websites. In many cases smaller companies can have a project done in the same way we work with personal sites.
Our initial consultation together serves many purposes. Most importantly, we get to know you, your dreams, and what you're expecting from this experience. At the same time, you get to know us, how we work, and whether we're a good match for you. We invite you to our home showroom for your consultation, but development conversations can easily take place over the phone. We will talk about your project and necessary branding, and document the details needed to understand your vision. Finally, we'll have the chance to explain our design process if you're not familiar with it, and answer any questions you may have.
Interactive websites can be a great thing, but we like to accomplish these sites without the use of Flash. Flash has a purpose, such as embedded videos, but sites should not be built on/around Flash. Javascript is the correct way to bring interactivity to a website. You will notice that our site is interactive in many ways, yet no Flash is used.
